She’s got a MySpace profile elaborate enough to put a computer geek in awe, she loves hot pink and she’s always up for gossiping with the girls. So what sets Oakley’s Sage Erickson apart from the average 18-year-old girl? Try looking at her surfing. Growing up on Oahu’s North Shore and Ventura, California, Sage found a raw talent for a sport she’s dedicated her life to. She’s taken the NSSA and Pro Junior circuits by storm, racking up an impressive list of results that point to a promising competitive career. “I’m trying to not get caught up in the distractions of the surf world,” says Erickson. “I mean, come on folks, have you seen the surfer boys these days?”
