The lenses are shielded with Oakley HYDROPHOBIC™, a permanent smudge-resistant coating that repels water, oils and dust. We added IRIDIUM® lens coating to balance light, and anti-reflective coating on the back of the lenses. When it comes to blocking glare, the optics achieve 99% polarization efficiency. Our polarized lenses are made with a liquid infusion process that bonds at the molecular level, eliminating the haze and distortion found in ordinary polarized lenses.
